A Very Good Year: The Finest Wine Experiences of American Revelry

At American Revelry, we believe that exceptional dining is an art—one that lingers in memory, much like the finish of a fine vintage. This fall, we hosted three extraordinary wine dinner evenings that we’re still savoring: the Serendipity Wine Dinner, the Caymus Wine Dinner and the Freemark Abbey Wine Dinner.

Each event brought together world-class wines, artfully curated menus by Chef Denise Shavandy, and a community of passionate wine lovers. These weren’t just dinners—they were immersive journeys through the flavors and stories of Napa Valley’s most iconic vineyards. From the clink of glasses to the harmony of wine and cuisine, these moments reminded us why we gather: to celebrate, savor, and connect.

September Shines: The Serendipity Wine Dinner

This September, wine enthusiasts enjoyed Italy’s rich winemaking heritage with the Serendipity Wine Dinner. Guests enjoyed six impeccably curated courses paired with seven handpicked Italian wines.

Each carefully selected bottle highlighted the diversity of Italian terroirs and showcased the passion of the featured winemakers. Chef Denise Shavandy designed a menu that elevated the wines, focusing on fresh seasonal ingredients and thoughtful pairings. Each course harmonized beautifully with its accompanying wine, creating a sensory experience that delighted even the most discerning palates.

The evening was more than a meal; it celebrated Italy’s unparalleled contribution to the world of wine. For guests, it was an opportunity to connect with like-minded enthusiasts, explore new favorites, and immerse themselves in the flavors and stories of Italy—all from the comfort of our elegant Green Room.

October Spotlight: The Caymus Wine Dinner

In October, guests joined us for a night to remember featuring the legendary wines of Caymus Vineyards. Renowned for their bold, complex Cabernet Sauvignons, Caymus brought what we love about Napa Valley to our tables.

Our guests were treated to Chef Denise’s inventive dishes, each course thoughtfully paired with a handpicked selection of Caymus wines. From learning about the unique characteristics of the Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon to tasting the subtle differences between grape varieties and regions, our guests immersed themselves in the artistry of winemaking.

And the perks didn’t end there — guests had the opportunity to purchase their favorite wines at retail prices, bringing a piece of the experience home. It wasn’t just a dinner; it was savoring a bit of Napa Valley, one sip at a time.

November Highlight: The Freemark Abbey Wine Dinner

Just a month later, we welcomed guests back for the Freemark Abbey Wine Dinner. This celebrated Napa Valley winery brought its signature elegance to the table combining beautifully with Chef Denise’s culinary creations.

Just like other American Revelry wine dinners, every detail of the evening was designed to enchant the senses. Guests enjoyed a multi-course menu that highlighted seasonal ingredients and paired perfectly with Freemark Abbey’s world-class wines. Whether it was a robust red or a delicate white, every glass added a new dimension to the dining experience.

The Freemark Abbey dinner also marked the start of the holiday season, offering guests a moment to pause, celebrate and indulge.
